Acceptance - The Act of Moving on

10/20/2013

I will write more when I can dedicate the time that this section deserves. For now I just wish to to say that moving on does not mean blocking out the loss or forgetting it happened. For me it means honouring the loss by valuing the present and putting faith in the future that good things can happen.

Update - I has been 5 years since we had our first loss and we have now had two beautiful healthy children. It has become easier to accept the losses that we have experienced as they are further away.  I know that every time I hold my children that I am think of how lucky I am to have them.

    Acceptance

Acceptance is the stage where were the loss is acknowledged and given its rightful place. It is the point in grief where people move on with their lives while honouring the loss in their own way.
